We have good news about the Arabic punctuation. While the Arabic symbols are inverted, they are similar to western punctuation. For example, while in English a comma is facing left (,), in Arabic you have an inverted version facing right (،). This is the same for question marks (? -> ؟) and quotation marks (”” -> ”“). The exclamation mark (!) is used in the same way as in English.
It’s also worth mentioning that Arabic speakers care a great deal about mutual respect. That’s why when you meet someone for the first time, it’s polite to say ”السلام عليكم” (assalamu a’alaikum) which means “Peace be upon you”. If you want to ask for something you should show respect by starting the sentence with “من فضلك“ (min Fadlak), which is a polite form of saying “please” in Arabic. Also, similar to German or other languages that put an emphasis on titles, you should address a man you meet for the first time with ”السيـّد” (assayed) which means “Mister” while a woman should be addressed using “السيـّدة” (assayida) meaning “Miss”.
